POINT
代名詞は何を指すのか意識しながら読むこと。基本的には直前をチェックする。
ｔｈｅｙ,ｔｈｅｍは 「彼ら（彼女ら）は・を・に」 以外に「それらは・を・に」の意味もあるので注意しよう。
ｔｈａｔには「あれは」以外に「それ（そのこと）」の意味もあり、直前を指すことが多い。

On the bus, Hiroko and Mika met a man. His name is Mr. White. Mika asked him, “Where are you from?” “I’m from New York,” he said. “Do you speak Japanese?” asked Hiroko. “No. I can’t speak Japanese at all,” he said. “ ______________ ” asked Mika. “Last month,” he answered. “Will you tell us about New York?” said Hiroko. “All right.
